I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled

"Ordinance to amend the Law respecting Defamatory Words and Libel:

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions.

Ordinance 3 of 1854 extended to this Colony the Provisions of 6 Victoria Ch. 96.

This Ordinance, by Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 introduces at length the several Sections of that Act.
